The Forests must not be sold

What happens in a privatised forest? Whatever it is, the forest must be made to pay. The government is planning to sell off Enlgand’s public forests. Places like the Forest of dean provide beautful landscpae that many people enjoy. They are great stores of biodiversity which requires protection. These forests must not be sold.

At National Geographic they know about great places to experience nature. So if you want an out-of-this-world experience without leaving the planet, the NG Top 20 trips for 2011 is a good place to start. The Scottish Highlands makes it onto the list, which confirms what I already knew, that I manage a tip of a lifetime about twice a month.

The atmosphere of Knoydart

There are places that people call home that cannot be reached by car, and an atmosphere can be felt when you visit them. Islands have it in abundance. Inverie on the Knoydart peninsula is one of these atmospheric communities.
